Riding a Creative Whirlwind and Chatting Spacesuits with Liz Clark

Hello and welcome back to the blog! I've been a little quiet lately because I've been head-down in a whirlwind of making. From reviving my coding brain with Python projects to learning how to use my vintage sewing machine's buttonhole attachment, I'm riding a giant wave of creative energy and learning new things. I've also been making great progress on two commissioned spacesuits and working on personal projects like clothes and accessories. I’ve basically replaced my nightly doomscrolling with crafting, and it feels like a healthy trade!

As a creative person, I know it's rare to have this much creative flow and focus at the same time. While it might look like "hobby-hopping" to some, I'm embracing this energy. I think it’s important to go with the flow when you have it, so that's exactly what I'm doing! Do you have creative whirlwinds too? It can’t just be me!

Today, I want to quickly tell you about a fun video I made with my friend Liz Clark, maker extraordinaire of Adafruit and BlitzCityDIY! Liz invited me to a special show-and-tell session for Circuit Python Day at Adafruit, where we spent 30 minutes chatting mostly about the helmet, the suit, and the electronic components inside it, like lighting and fans. Liz is a wonderful host and a super talented maker, and it was a joy to hang out and chat about making.
